By *regulation* (FAR), only an authorized instructor may endorse for instruction given *and used for the purpose of meeting the requirements of the regulation (FAR)*. Anyone can sign anything they want. Most things require a CFI if you want the endorsement to be useful for the purpose of meeting the requirements of the FARs, but that doesn't mean someone who isn't a CFI can't sign a logbook. Pete |
