He had his chair placed higher than visitors so he could look down on them and they had to look up at him. I once toured one of LBJs "air force one" aircraft. Seems he couldn't quit fiddling with the thermostat. So the crew just disconnected it. He still fiddled, and was happy, but it wasn't doing anything at all. Come to think of it, I think he raised the chair on that aircraft, too.. |
