In article .com,
says...

...35 minutes to become an expert in press releases? don't even need
that much time. here's MY class on how to do it, and you don't even
have to stare at captain clangalang's fat mug.

Step One: Hire a professional.

Thank you for attending.

The Real Reason I think he's trying to do this is to get clients... I
can just hear the Part 4 pitch: "I, Captain Zoom, Hero of the Skies,
Tester of All Aircraft, Omniscient Bundini of All Time will endeavour
on your behalf to promote your product/service because you simply don't
have the time.

This crap is no different than his rants bashing SNF while hinting that
there is a better fly-in coming in the not-too-distant future; a fly-in
that I am sure he will, somehow, have a financial stake in. Just
another dip of the baited hook into the pond.

Now, as to what I presume will be the nuts-and-bolts content at Dr.
Jimmy's 35 minute workshop, written of course from his own vast
experience...

1) How to write press releases that get read by editors: Enclose a
check for "advertising" with the release.

2) How to get media attention: Claim that Chuck S.'s hamster has been
attempting to send destructive theta brain waves to your "staff and
advertisers." Follow up the claim with reports from "reliable sources"
that Chuck has been seen, recently, at PetSmart buying large amounts of
hamster food, preferably in a 3,000 word rant with photos of a PetSmart
"somewhere in Ohio."

3) The importance of keeping your name in the news: How on earth can
you feel grandiose, deservedly or not, if you don't see your name in
print/on screen.

4) How to efficiently and economically promote your company, no
matter if you have one employee or 1,000 employees: SEE LESSONS 1 AND
2.

In the interest of fair press, I, who will be covering the AEA
convention, shall attend this little symposium... quietly and
objectively. Of course, I expect that at some point Captain Lithium
will contact the local authorities in order to thwart what he will
undoubtedly see as my "continuing terroristic activites on behalf of a
cabal of ilk."

...or something like that.

In any case, escalator tag will be fun!

I can't wait till I read your report on the 35 minute symposium.I would love to
hear when he talks about his credentials. LOL!!!

Chuck (can't wait) S RAH-14/1 ret
