Are you saying that you have a reference that says there is no defined landing zone on the current crop of drives, and thus you infer that because of that, the head are in contact with the platters? I'm really having a hard time trying to figure out what your point is. You don't appear to understand how modern drives work, but at the same time all of your posts are so brief, and so seemingly irrelevant to the topic at hand, it''s difficult to understand what it is you are actually trying to say.
