Glder/Aircraft insurance

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any insurers on this list?

I fly with a university Gliding club and recently we had to re-insure our
small fleet of three gliders.

As most of you are aware, insurance represents a very significant chunck of
glider/aircraft maintenance costs, and as is often the case, ours went up by
a quite a large percentage recently, even though our safety record is very
good.

So, I started to wonder. Is it possible to insure a glider or aircraft
outside of it's country of origin?
I'm in the UK, so shopping in mainland Europe for example, would be fairly
easy for us - especially if it's cost effective.

I was wondering what the implications would be?
