In my 182 there's no way to have an aft cg problem with a legal gross weight. The only way to have a forward cg problem is with full fuel and nothing in the back. Not for takeoff... for landing. On several occassions, I have filled the rear baggage compartment up to the mid-windows level. It is very easy to scrape/drag the tail tiedown ring if you are not aware of the CG location (takeoff and landing) and are prepared to fly accordingly. |
