The wind is capricious, for sure. -- Jay Honeck That's one reason I think it should be a regulation that airports only have one windsock. Taxi away from the ramp glancing at the nearby windsock. Taxi toward the far end of the airport for the runway that should be preferred. Get to the end and glance at another windsock pointing in the other direction. Taxi back to the other end of the runway nearer the first windsock. The two windsocks are basically point at each other. I'm glad there was no ATIS!
