They're just ordinary people, and no, they have no desire to kill anyone, or to die themselves, any more than someone who gets a driver's license demonstrates such thoughts. Those who enlist demonstrate their willingness to suffer hardship in return for the greater good. This could be a desire to do something good for themselves, their country, and/or the world in general. Kev |
