All products eventually become "dead", I'd bet that the 430 dies before the 480. The 480 is a much newer design than the 430/530 and should have a longer life than the older technologies. But, only Garmin knows for sure, but they spent a lot of money to acquire Apollo and the techonology/engineers that the 480 was built on. It wouldn't make much buisness sense to now kill that product after the millions(?) they spent to acquire it. |
