They put them on Race Cars and on the jets they don't come off If you
only knew how much of a passenger plane was glued together as opposed to
riveted you might not fly. I think they also weigh less then the paint
it would take to cover the area.



the glue is stronger than rivits and bonds alonf the entire seam and not at
jusr som,e spaced points.
