I'm mean simplification (burned, learned etc). I had a similar problem with an English prof when I was in college. I used "learnt" in an essay and she marked it wrong. Being the lazy bum that I am, if WordPerfect didn't flag it as wrong, it was good enough for me. I insisted I was right and she looked it up to prove me wrong only to find I was right. Some college profs get a god complex and have a hard time handling being proved wrong... Tony |
