She got
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL nervous when the four of us were in a loose gaggle towards OSH, reported the same information, and still couldn't see one another. We're going to have to find a way to address that problem. I remember that well, Jim, and agree that it was unnerving. Since then, I have done the gaggle thing several times, and the trick seems to be to maintain visual contact starting at departure. As a I recall, we tried to "find" each other after departing Iowa City, and that proved quite difficult. (Although the rest of us did catch sight of each other -- we just couldn't spot that pretty blue 182 against the sky, I guess? ) Perhaps we should assign a "buddy" to fly with, someone who you keep in visual contact with from taxi to airborne? If I watch you, and you watch Jack, and Jack watches Edwin, and so on, we should all remain safely in sight of each other... -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |
