Default Mountain flying expert survives crash.

"Imeson began walking from the crash scene Sunday night, according to reports
from friends at the Townsend City-County Airport, who were involved in the
search."

....and was found 4 hours after the crash site was discovered.

Why would such an experienced mountain flyer walk away from the airplane?
