Default Open letter to Clark and others involved in the yEnc posts earlier

What started out as a rational discussion and my suggestions on a couple of

people are going to do what they want as it is not moderated and yEnc is not
going to go away, quickly degenerated into a pointless tit for tat ****ing
match between the two of us.

To the rest of the board I apologize for eating up a lot of download space,
and I wish Clark an enjoyable and relaxing weekend! And to keep on topic I
have added this picture.

Hub,

I bowed out of the yEnc discussion very quickly, as the one side very
cleary refused to change their favorite utilities, no matter what. The
only reason I waded in was that -rhetorically speaking- the claim that
switching to a yEnc-capable reader added "complexity" is not
objectively supportable.

I'm no yEnc bigot, and I even posted suggestions on how (non-OE) folks
can change their configs to avoid using yEnc for uploads. Despite
that, I got a fair amount of grief about the whole question, so I
skated.

Anyway. Thanks so much for this shot. I've never seen a Corsair in
looks to be British dark green & sea grey before! Not to mention a
shot with a Spit, Corsair, and Hellcat in one shot. Or should I say
Seafire, Corsair, and Gannet?

....And is that a couple of Faireys in the right-middle-ground?

Anyway, that's a great shot, with all the different types, and I'd
love to hear if anyone has any background context. For example: is
that really a base in England? The vegetation seems to indicate that.

Thanks!
Casey
