History is written by the winners and we all know that there is only the history that we are fed. Sort of like, "What was the real reason behind the Civil War". History says that it was over slavery (depending on whom you speak to), the North says it was about the Secession of the South. But the South says it was over the one sided economics of the day. It was definately NOT slavery as Lincoln vetoed the Emancipation the first time through. But you keep reading those books and stay inside. |
