Default Aviation Hiakus

A few aviation related haiku-style poems:

Odor of avgas
Sound of planes roaring to life
I love the airport

Pushing the starter
The propeller springs to life
Soon I'll be airborne

Gunning the throttle
Runway lights are zipping by
The earth falls away

Instrument basics
Time, tune, turn, throttle, and talk
Save your life they will

Scanning instruments
MDA is growing near
Hope I pop out soon

GUMPS checklist complete
ATC says, "Cleared to land"
Round-out, flare, touchdown!

I hope I'm a better pilot than I am a poet. But I'll admit I did have
fun writing these...
