The natical mile was standardized to metric because it was inconsistant depending on where you stood on the globe. The nautical mile works fine inside the WGS-84 oblate speroid earth model. Using meters is inapropriate for earth navigation. Remulac is the only place meters make sense for navigation. ![]() |
