Happy landings, We have meadowlarks, but their call here on the Prairies is a little different than I used to hear in interior BC. Slightly different species, I suppose. Last year they started calling in early May and were still at it late in August. I imagine there were a few unattached males still looking for mates. The meadowlark's call is the earliest sound I can remember ever hearing as a little kid, back in the '50s. Yup, the school's GCBC. Might fly in summer, if I can keep at it between all the other stuff. Dan |
