Eisenhower did not see combat prior to his Command, unless you count rousting Bonus Marchers, but then neither did Carter prior to his Presidency. Truman served in WW1 combat as an artillery officer. And I'm leaving out a bunch of others, including Kennedy and another fellow you may have heard of named GEORGE WASHINGTON. Jack |
