I do remember them making a big deal about it being a rare bird made by the same company that made the Corsair but for the life of me, I can't remember the name/designation. It even has the Corsair style wings. Also, I do remember them saying it was probably one of very few if not the only one still flying. It's a Corsair. The "big deal" was probably the fact that it's not an Vought F4U Corsair but a Goodyear FG Corsair or a Brewster F3A Corsair. Most likely a Goodyear FG Corsair, I believe the only Brewster F3A in existence is on a flatbed and the USN is being a real dick about repossessing it. |
