Default Cf-18 Hornet

Hornets in Trenton?

My, my! I have been out of touch . . .

In my day, there were only heavy transport Sqadrons (436, 437, 429 Trg Sqn
and an assortment of others), an AMU (or today, they are calling it 2nd
AMS) unit, of which I used to belong to . . .

There was also an engine repair Squadron located at the North end of the
Base (they made a lot of noise during run ups, especially with F104 engines
and the like).

Oh well . . .

Again, my thanks to you all

Trenton is the home base for the Hornet Hookers They are the boys that
take care of the MAGS and they are deployed a lot.

Thank you all.

How about that! I never thought that an arrestor cable was part of
"safety systems" at a Canadian air Base, especially where the CF-18 are
located . . .

Never saw one at CFB Trenton though . . .

How come?

How come a tail hook on an aircraft that has never seen a carrier?

Is Canada holding out here? does it have a super-secret carrier that no
one knows about?

Please help!

Thanks much
