You are all right. I was quite wrong.
I was very annoyed about how Ralph treated a friend of mine some years ago, but this was no time to bring it up. It is also clear from postings here and from some remarkably temperate private messages that he was capable of great generosity and kindness. The abuse heaped upon me is wholly deserved. I apologise.
