ISTR reading somewhere some time back (NOT on the internet so it MUST be
true!) about an F-105 in Viet Nam bringing back a dud Soviet Atoll (Sidewinder look-a-like) stuck in the fuselage. The crew chief & mechanics tore it down & piece for piece would interchange with a Sidewinder.
