When you lift the tip of the main wing panel to pull it out of the trailer, how many pounds are you lifting? And what is the total piece weight of the DD inboard wing panel? Total weight is 215lbs I believe. I haven't ever stepped on a scale while picking up either the wing tip or the root. I'd guess the split is like 130lb/85lb or something like that between the root and the tip. It's heavy, but mostly it is awkward. There is a lot of weight on the trailing edge once you rotate flat. Then for the person at the tip, the height is very high given the dihedral. When Julie and I rig, the tip is at about shoulder height for her. |
