Expanding on LK8000
For XCSoar you can visit http://www.xcsoar.org/download/data.html and choose the data that you need. That includes a link to all our pre-generated maps (http://www.xcsoar.org/download/maps/) and a link to our map generator (http://mapgen.xcsoar.org/) that can take waypoint files or arbitrary boundary coordinates.
