A few years ago I saw a rental Blanik with a Hobbs meter installed. It was powered by a solar panel and connected to a switch, I believe a repurposed stall warning switch mounted on the exterior of the fuselage. When the glider was flying, the the circut was closed and the meter logged time. Don't know if this actually worked as designed, but found it amusing. |
