I can't really help with this, other than to wonder if lend-lease allocations might be responsible, in terms of aircraft delivered against USAAF All air force Lend-Lease aircraft were first taken into the air force, so should be included in USAAF deliveries. This extended even to aircraft the USAAF never adopted, notably the Vultee P-66s that show on the air force books.
