Default Best months for soaring near Tucson?

Although conditions in southern Arizona improve from April onwards and degrade after about the end of October, we have had long cross-country flights in every month of the year. Good soaring from November through March is spotty, however. Moisture is the key to the best flights and the pre-monsoon season from mid May to the end of June often provides the best conditions, with a secondary peak in September and October as the monsoon wanes.

Check out Tucson Soaring Club flights posted on OLC - these will give you a good idea.

Mike
