Towing with a TDI

Stability is the only question -- and one that you can answer with a 15 minute test drive with your trailer behind (assuming you can find somewhere you can get to 60+ mph). I tow the club's DG1000 behind my 165 HP Subaru Outback, including over mountains, and it's fine. Fuel economy gets knocked back from 32 mpg (uk) to about 25 or 26 i.e. fuel use increased from 8 l/100 km to 11 l/100km.
