Anybody check the tail weight? Remember the guy that told the factory to put in 4 pounds of tail weight and they put in 4 kilograms! I have had good relations with the Federollies over the years, but found it necessary to lead them in the right direction, a time or two. We had an accident where the spoilers stuck wide open and the ship crashed on final. Feds missed the cause completely and I filed the defect report that generated an AD. Sad news, JJ Yes. According to Renny, when I spoke to him two weeks or so before the accident, there had been a W&B done several flights prior and the sailplane was flying with a reasonable CG position - don't remember the exact number but mid range-ish.
