The category four Hurricane Michael, the likes of which the likes of which
the Florida panhandle has not seen in modern times, made landfall with its
eye passing directly over Tyndall Air Force Base.


I did a TDY there in 1975 (Brave Shield '75) at this same time of year.
Co-incidentally, they'd just had a near-miss and Panama City was still
cleaning up the damage.
