Ping: Art MS CFS 3, flying a B-26
Hey, Art, have you seen this game yet? I know you aren't a flight sim fan, but
the Combat Flight Simulator game has some interesting functions that you may find interesting. In its latest form, CFS 3 contains the ability to ride in the 344th BS aircraft, in all of the gunner positions, pilot, or bombadier position. The game lets you fly a campaign aboard the ship, attacking airfields and logistics. Not surprising, the game sends you out after a lot of bridges, where I always seem to collect a few "virtual" flak holes. Looking out through that glass nose while Fritz chucks dozens of 88 shells in your path sure doesn't look much fun. I know its just a game, but it does give some appreciation for the difficulties your mates faced, except for the beer at my elbow and my son giving helpful advice,etc... v/r Gordon |
