Two possible airports jump out at me:

Solberg, which was recently offered $22 million by the state for the
development rights, so that it will be preserved as an airport. They turned
it down because others had valued it as high as $40 million for development.
Recently the township was trying to buy it for $20 million under eminent
domain, but the bond issue failed. The owners did not want to sell it for
that.

The other possiblility is Alexandria, which was already being developed as
an airpark (or at least there were plans for that). I didn't think it was
that big, however.

Interesting.

It sure is Solberg. Unbelievable they turn down a State offer for the
same amount they now want to sell it for! The state was going to buy
the development right for the 22 million which would have allowed them
to keep the land if they wanted, or sell it for a purpose other than
McMansions or Condos.

That family is pathetic.
