I'm still waiting for Dave Jackson to make unicopters. What's the holdup, Dave? Unicopter????? Is there such a thing???? Almost! Two (or more?) similar concepts in the works. I want to see how far he goes with these. UniCopter http://www.unicopter.com/UniCopter.html SynchroLite http://www.unicopter.com/SynchroLite.html I had a rotor design on my mind for a while, then Dave Jackson appeared in this group with his SynchroLite intermeshing rotor project. I liked it! And it might fit well with my idea. So I've been waiting for Dave to finish all the hard work. C'mon Dave! :^) |

Might be time for you to become a spider wrangler. |

I've got a backyard full of black widows he can come harvest. The really big one in the garage with the HUGE pile of dead potato bugs under her web you can't have. The kids have named her Charlotte... hehehe Or Dave could build the cardboard mockup at your place, then come pick it up later after it's wound :^) |

It costs about 70,000 buckies to train a drug sniffing, explosive sniffing doggie and takes many many many months of training. Scientists recently figured out a way to train wasps to do the same job in about five minutes. They have a tube with some wasps in it. There is a critter cam so they can watch the activity of the wasp and holes at one end of the tube so the various scents can get inside the tube. They put them by a bunch of things and don't reward them with food. They put them by drugs and when they get agitated they reward them with sugar water.... food. Within five minutes the wasps have figured out what to do. They use the wasps for just a few days then release them into the wild as they only live a few short weeks and replace them with a fresh batch. |
