Gee, if a little acetone will do this much good just think about what
putting MEK into the tank will do for your mileage...

Hey! I have a bunch of MEKP. It's *almost* the same thing except for a
few extra oxygen atoms. I'm afraid the IO-470N in the Deb has too
much compression so we might have to use Fat Albert with those lower
compression engines.:-))

Kinda reminds me of a guy who ran up the engines on his Queen Air up
at Terry's. They have manually adjustable waste gates on the turbos.
Blew one of the jugs right off the engine. As I recall the case wasn't
left in that great a shape either.

Acetone In Fuel Said to Increase Mileage
"Readily-available chemical added to gas tank in small proportion
improves the fuel's ability to vaporize completely by reducing the
surface tension that inhibits vaporization of some fuel droplets."

Chat room chat about acetone - mostly diesel cars.

This is for diesels mostly ...and mogas WITHOUT alcohol in it. A few
ounces/10 gallons is all you use.

go ahead try it. see how long your seals last. Acetone is in the same
family as Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK).

John,
I am on my way west right now.
I officially started west Thursday. I am making several stops in Ohio.
Including the factory that built my travel trailer.
Next stop after that will be Jay and Mary's. Looks like that will be
Wednesday night or more.
Next planned stop Mount Rushmore. Maybe Devil's tower and then into Montana.
Then onto Missoula.
My airplane is at my old boss getting an annual. It will probably be
done in mid to late may....

If you are near Columbus, OH, email me privately.
The BARNSTORMER is closed, perhaps we can sit down for coffee or
something.
