SOARING IN THE U.K.

I will be in the Lake district in July 2007. Have contacted by e-mail
the two sites in the area listed in the BGA web page to see if I can
fly there during my trip , with no response. One e-mail address appears
to be obsolete.

Can anyone out there direct me to the proper persons or organizations,
or provide information as how a visitor can do some flying, not
necessarily solo.

You might like to email the BGA about your problems. It might also help
if you mention the clubs you are interested in visiting! Finally, sign
up to gliderpilot.net and post in the uk.rec.aviation.soaring group they
run - it doesn't seem to be on normal Usenet servers.
