Preference is a Borgelt B400/500 or B600

Its also worth looking at a Borgelt B.40 it you're offered one. Its the
predecessor to the B.400.

I've been using one as a backup to the SDI C4 in my Libelle for the last
10 years. It makes nice noises, is one of the fastest responding varios
I've flown with (much faster than the C4), and since it will easily run
for over a day on the 9v PP3 battery it has for an emergency power, its
excellent insurance against main power failure

I got it second hand with a dodgy power switch, sent it back to Mike
Borgelt who gave it a full overhaul for a very reasonable price and
considerably faster than I expected.

I've got an 80mm B400. It's my backup, it works great. No real motivation to part with it other than at some point I am going to want to redo my panel with small gauges. I would probably replace with a 57mm B400... wait.... what the heck is the story with Borgelt? MIA at a couple of US distributors, now rather expensive at another one.

Hi Evan, as I dig into Borgelt more and more......agreed! Bloody annoying.

Hmmmm may need to consider options.

What you got?

Borgelt B400 80mm, A little over a year old, functioned flawlessly the two times I flew with it.
