And to think that just before last week Jay was complaining about the
television weathercreatures and their breathless Storm Watches. When they saw that, Jay, they ganged up on you and arranged for ten days of clag. is driving you way too hard, man! That's the problem -- me and "The Boss" like to fly together. Which means paying people to staff the hotel while we're punching holes in the sky. Which, in January, is pretty stupid, financially... Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...
For once , I am ahead! 1.5 hrs airwork today, -8 C, 10 knts. Alone on our 172 was getting 1200 fpm, full tanks and just me! Went back for an instructor for IFR work (almost to my VFROOT).....got dark, lotsa lights, clear sky..wind dropped to 0.... GAWD I love days like this! Been sick over newyears, DEFINATELY back to normal now... Rest and a "flying fix" will do it every time! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...
For once , I am ahead! We hope to catch up later today. The sky here is crystal clear, the winds are calm -- and the temperature is 2 degrees above zero! By noon, I hope it will be in the teens. And if this is a wide-spread phenomenon, we'll be heading to Janesville, WI (JVL) for a late lunch!
