I'm looking for a complete list of all USA competitions
for 2011, including those with tentative dates. Lots
of major upcoming meets are not listed on SSA site
(18m nationals, open nationals, Uvalde pre-worlds).

Can anybody point me at this info ?

Thanks,
Best Regards, Dave "YO electric"

Default 2011 USA competition schedule ?

I have the same scheduling issues with my daughters school. A better
solution would be to be confirming the 2012 schedule at this autumn's
BOD meeting so that there is 18'ish months between the final published
schedule and the first event. I attend business conferences that know
their dates for the next 2 or three years. Makes planning much
easier.

On the other side, I am very sympathetic to everyone involved in this
process. It is a lot of work and getting sites to commit 9 months
ahead of time is hard enough. Two plus years may be impossible.

Organizers have the same issue(s) as competitors; need as much lead
time as possible. Too many politics being played out by the selection
committee and IMO if this continues it will be yet another
contributing factor to the decline of participants and organizers.

Sure. I am one of many folks helping with organizing the 2011 15
meter nationals in Logan. The paperwork was done as needed and on
time. We were told a selection was imminent over the summer but never
heard. Kept inquiring, same answers with different reasons. Verbally
told it would be rewarded to Logan and confirm would be sent, never
was. had the contest included in the 2011 schedule via the SSA and
someone had it pulled down. Still waiting for confirmation, There
are many more specific that should not be aired on public venues such
as RAS. Bottom line is that we will be ready for a great contest in
Logan in 2011, just waiting to get the confirmation so we can whip
into action to get all the setup stuff done. Email me offline if you
desire

So California Region 12 is formulating a Regionals at Inyokern CA for
8/27/11 to 9/2/11. If you have 2 weeks you can also attend the
following Experimental Soaring Association meeting and fly the Dust
Devil Dash. Three great soaring events in 2 weeks!
