Info on Buying a Cherokee 180

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted responses for me...
all very helpful on things to watch out for.

Now also wondering if it's worth joining the Piper Owner Society, or
if there is some other owners' group I should look into.

This may have already been said, but the Cherokee Pilots Association is the
best, most active group of Cherokee pilots. Joining their organization
gets you a fair magazine, and access to a terrific web-board.

They also publish a book called "Cherokee Hints and Tips" that is worth its
weight in gold.

AND they also put on a great national Cherokee fly in. See pix from this

Ohio has a Cherokee Pilot Association which has a couple or three flyins per
year. Other states may have same.
