Hi,
Recently, Rick Durden posted: I'm always amazed at the amount of misinformation running around here. (snip) There is no problem with slips with full flaps on a 172, it's another of aviation's old wives tales. So... I suppose that Cessna was so taken with this "old wive's tale" that they decided to include a warning against it in the POH? ;-) That said, I have slipped 172s with full flaps and lived to tell about it.
