Know anything about the Thielert diesels
coming out soon?

I got my Check-Out last Weekend on a DA40-TDI (Thielert equipped).

Run-up is cool just press and hold the ECU-Test Button and wait for all the
Warning lights to go dark.
The 2 major Differences to a "standard" Engine a
*) Fuel Management (Transfer Pump)
*) Engine Characteristics
The TDI is fun to fly and will burn about than 5 gallons of Jet-A per hour.
The ones flying here have mufflers installed and that really keeps the
neighbors happy! You've got the hear the difference.

Does that mean you are God?

On the contrary. It was meant to be humorous. No one can "assign"
membership to a Usenet group. By making his post he "earned"
"membership" immediately. I was merely pointing out the obvious (or
so I thought).

Oy.

Welcome

You may want to also check out rec.aviation.homebuilt
A lot of homebuilt aircraft use modified auto engines.

Just a small point to note, it is frowned upon to crosspost (aka
X-post or posting to multiple newsgroups). You may as well start off
on the right foot, so to speak.

But seriously, no. There's no room left on the server for new members. We
will have to cancel someone else's membership in order to let you in.

Anyone have any suggestions on who needs to go?

Perhaps simply institute a ban on all high wing posters?

Then we need to create rec.aviation.highwing.taildraggers.realpilots...

You're asking us?
Prayer might help, and of course learning to fly get's you a bit closer.

Or maybe gets you there a little faster. :-)

Okay, okay, we've had our fun -- me included. But for a moment, let's back
off the taunts and jibes. Ms. Ananthavalli came to this newsgroup to
introduce herself while trying to figure out how the system works. Let's
cut her a little slack. I for one apologize for participating in the joking
around.

If we haven't driven you off, welcome, Ms. Ananthavalli. The
rec.aviation.piloting newsgroup is populated (mostly) by licensed pilots.
Because it is unmoderated, any person is free to post any message, although
if it is not in line with the charter for the group, verbal penalties will
result. It is, for the most part, international with what seems like
preponderance of members in the USA. Perhaps someone else can comment about
the rec.aviation.student newsgroup, although the name seems
self-explanatory.

Where do you live and where do you work?

Regards,

Casey

Well...if we just cut JC's posts in half, we would probably
have room for half-a-dozen new members.
