Why don't airliners give PIREPS (pilot weather reports)? Airliners give Pireps frequently, especially turb and icing related ones. There is a Java applet on this link that allows you to scroll over the PIREPS and get the text of the full PIREP (which shows airliners listed in the TP field relatively often) http://adds.aviationweather.noaa.gov/pireps/
