What an uneducated, silly statement.

You're right, when they aren't whining about going broke they are
whining because it is too dry, or too wet, or diesel costs too much...

Stupid question maybe, but what is the left flag?

That's the Betsy Ross Flag...thirteen stars for thirteen colonies.

Here, the county board (or was it the state?) has implemented a permit
system for farmers who want corn mazes, farm breakfasts, hayrides, etc.
They claim its so that emergency services know where these events are
going on, which is pretty stupid, considering that 911 tracks calls
(Cell phones soon). Its just another excuse to tax farmers trying to
make a buck.

Well not entirely......only a few farmers whine about things and the ones
whinning are not doing stuff like this. I know, I grew up on a farm and
although there is a risk each year and some years are better than others,
for the most part it all evens out somehow.

Andrew, he has been doing something different each of the last three
years since I first noticed them. Check and see what he does with this
year's crop.

Hmmm, and here I was raised on a farm... I own a farm... I get farm
subsidy payments yessss! :... And a significant portion of the people
I deal with every day are involved with farming...
Gosh, I guess I was just to slow to learn anything all these years...
Thanks for pointing that out, Pete...

And, Gary hits the nail on the head...

There was one about 3 milles north of 3BS this past Fall as well.
Guess you and I must have gotten into the wrong part of farming Denny.

I still own it, but quite farming myself in 1961 and haven't missed it
at all.
