My daughter (CFI in another state) told me to keep watching the airman registry and said once that reflects your new rating, your updated certificate arrives within a week in the mail. Not sure where she got that info, but it was right on the money twice. Seems they update the database and snail mail the certificate at the same time, or thereabout (really close to the 120 days). |

This is what it says on the FAA website....
We are currently processing permanent Airmen Certificates for temporary certificates that were issued approximately October 31, 2005 so if you took your PPL checkride a month ago...say 12/10/05, you still have about another month+ before you get your permanent certificate. keep checking the site and when it gets near your checkride date you will know your certificate is just around the corner. here is the link to that page.... http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certific...certification/ "John Huthmaker" wrote in message nk.net...
