Turf status?
I've heard some things via the 'grapevine', but their website doesn't indicate anything. What did your cursory check of cyberspace show that was 'possible bad news'? http://www.asa-soaring.org/ Check forum entries...granted this is second hand as well.

Turf status?
Contestants for the Region 9 regional have been given notice that Turf
has closed, possibly temporarily, due to lack of affordable insurance renewal. Negotiations continue for insurance as well as possible sale of airport and FBO.
