@f16g2000cwb.googlegroups.com:

Realizing that it's kind of odd that I need to explain why I find
something "cool," the fact that it has an option to have a lavatory or
seat a 7th occupant differentiates it significantly from the Cirrus and
Diamond offerings. The engine location is unique to the current and
near-future marketplace so that will be interesting to watch but the
extra cabin space for a lav/7th seat it allows is even more
interesting.

If they were smart they would put a seatbelt in the lav, and then it could be
both.

Interesting plane. I looked for information on the engine and didn't
see anything. Was there any mention of Piper using the new Honda
engine? I'm assuming since they are collaborating on service for their
2 jets, that having the same engine would make sense.

I can just see some million dollar a year executive sitting on the toilet
for take off and landing.

They do that in the Learjets. Pretty common actually.

Generally, it is the $300,000 executives (VPs) who get the lav seat! :-)

Eclipse can explain it away as much as they want to but the
reality is that NOT having a lav available when you're at FL300 makes
for one heck of a bad user experience. The descent, sequencing,
landing, taxiing and shut down makes for a long wait when one has to
take a **** and an even longer wait when the lunch you had doesn't
agree with your digestive system.

I have to agree. My prediction is that there will be a lav offered on all
of the VLJ's, before it is all said and done.

I would not book a flight of any great length on a plane that does not
have a lav, would you? Some would, but I am not alone in my view, I'm
sure.

I'm sure that would be popular with an assistant VP, among mixed company. Not!
