I'm not exactly familiar with icelandic, so I couldn't comment on the
language.

I remember hearing that the 777 tests were done at some airport in
Brazil, where the winds are known for giving x-winds like this
consistently, but I honestly don't know about the credibility of that
source or whether there were other tests done elsewhere.

Looks like the same place they did the 777 tests.
Anyone know where this was shot?

For more, go to youtube.com, and search with "crosswind" or "crosswind

No need for YouTube and their incessant commercials and spambots.

You sure have no idea how to either block ads or how to finance a website.

Just
go to our website and enjoy over 300 commercial-free aviation videos,
all available for FREE download:

hmm, why do you spamvertise this site? Because your bandwidth is for free
(read: paid for by others)?

and I don't want to bring back your potential copyright problems. You are
aware of it and you can never say that you haven't been warned (no Mr.
Judge, I had absolutely no idea that copyright also applies on the 'net).

How is your Danish?
(Good with coffee. And yours? ;-)) )

I do not know how Danish could possibly help here, Icelandic is
completely unitelligible to speakers of that language.

You're such an idiot, Martin, er, sorry, Merry Christmas!

Of course I tell pilots about the page, you moron, er, sorry, Merry
Christmas! Everyone here knows that the bandwidth for the videos is
provided, free of charge, by this group's own Jav Henderson, and I
simply provide the springboard for it.

Airmen on this group deserve to know that they don't have to subject
themselves to incessant ads (as in YouTube, and many others) in order
to view excellent aviation videos. It's a service that -- because we
DON'T advertise it -- needs to be announced here once in a while.

Merry Christmas!

This is indeed by far the best collection I've seen on the Net, and
it's all the more amazing that it's free (since hardly anything
worthwhile is free any more these days on the Net).

Hey, my videos are also available for free. Not quite as extensive as
Jay's though, but I also got the fun of shooting them too.

http://www.alioth.net/Video - MP4 format, get VLC from
http://www.videolan.org (also free and a VERY good video player) if you
don't have an MP4 player.

according to the file name, it's in iceland (or Island as they spell it
there), making that Keflavik airport. I pride myself on having lived in
Reykjavik for a year when i was 6
