I believe the three-engine aircraft is an Avro 618 Ten. It was the fourth
machine of four ordered by the Indian State Airways. Lack of funding led to
the order being cut back to a single machine. The fourth aircraft
subsequently remained at the Avro works until completed as G-ACGF in April
1933. It was purchased by Mr. John Sword where it supplemented Airspeed
Ferries on the Renfrew-Belfast and Renfrew-Speke scheduled services of
Midland and Scottish Air Ferries Limited.

Incidentally Dave, the Avro 618 Ten was a British license-built version of
the Fokker F.VIIB/3m.

The reason it was named 'Ten' was, because it could carry eight passengers
and two crew.
