I'm an Aviation Maintenance Warrant Officer in the Army. I'm also an
A&P I/A, and have written letters of recommendation for several Army mechanics. They need 36 months of full time experience, in the right MOS, to qualify to take the tests. If she is joining the military just to get her A&P, there are probably allot easier ways to do it? You should contact a safety inspector at your local FSDO, and ask them look up the MOS's that qualify. The Air force has very few, while the Army has allot. They will not count maintenance training, and they will subtract any leave or non-aviation details from the 36 months. Colin A&P I/A http://www.jumprunenterprises.com |
